This web site is part of the prevention campaign called "Boating safety: have fun but don’t rock the boat!” intended for Canadian teachers and students. This campaign was produced by the Lifesaving Society in partnership with the Canadian Coast Guard and the National Search and Rescue Secretariat, and in cooperation with Le Groupe Jeunesse 2000.

The information found on this web site is divided into three sections.

The first section is intended for teenagers and includes 10 key behaviours to adopt for the safe practice of water sports. It discusses water parks and other bodies of water, and offers advice for young people who babysit younger children.

The second section is intended particularly for parents and presents information on water safety, prevention and the safe installation of backyard pools.

The third and last section covers some important points of the Canadian Coast Guard’s boating safety regulations.

We urge you to merrily surf this site and write to us with your comments and suggestions.
